Job Description:

Recruiting for a suitably qualified HLTA to provide professional support in delivering teaching and learning to KS1 and KS2 students in a Hornchurch based school.

This HLTA role will require someone who is confident in covering classes across a variety of year groups, has energy, enthusiasm, a calm manner, the ability to prioritise, a flexible working approach and proven teaching experience.

HLTA Responsibilities and Qualification:

Prepare lessons with teachers, contributing to the planning cycle including evaluating and adjusting lessons in response to the student’s needs.
To monitor and assess the students learning recording and reporting the students’ progress and development.
To organise and supervise administrative systems within the school.
Provide verbal and written feedback on lesson content, student responses to learning activities and student behaviour, to teachers and students in line with school policy.
To support the students in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
To use positive behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policy and procedures to contribute to a purposeful learning environment and encourage the students to interact and work cooperatively with others.
Fully Enhanced DBS registered with the update service.
Level 4 HLTA qualification.
