SEMH Teaching Assistant required to support a Year 1 student with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs in a Romford school. The student will need 1-1 support outside of the classroom and a lot of encouragement with integrated learning.
The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting Special Needs and ideally be Team Teach trained.
SEMH Teaching Assistant :
Experience in supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
To be motivated to make a positive difference in the students learning and development.
Experience and knowledge of the needs of students that are disengaged with education, and confident with challenging behaviour and de-escalation strategies.
To liaise with the Teacher and Senco in monitoring the students’ progress.
Qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEND care qualifications.
Ideally have good knowledge and understanding of SEMH.
Team Teach trained would be desirable.
