Teaching Assistant required to support a Year 1 student with High Functioning ASD on a 1-1 basis in a Romford school.
The successful candidate would ideally be experienced and have a good understanding or knowledge of supporting students with High Functioning ASD and able to manage behavioural triggers and traits.
1-1 Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:
To support the student 1-1 in the classroom and sometimes outside.
To be able to promote and assist in the learning and to build the students confidence.
To build the social and emotional skills of student whilst promoting trust and confidence.
To keep a safe environment and be aware of all safeguarding policies and procedures.
Experience and knowledge supporting High Functioning ASD and to manage behavioural triggers and traits.
Strong and confident in effective boundary setting and understand transitions to the next task.
Qualified with a relevant L2/L3 Teaching Assistant or SEND qualification would be ideal.
