Recruiting – SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 student with Cerebral Palsy on a 1-1 basis at a school in the Romford area.
This role would be ideal for someone who is caring, patient, resilient and has experience of supporting Cerebral Palsy within a classroom or care-based setting.
1-1 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities & Qualification
Knowledge, experience and an understanding and empathy towards supporting Cerebral Palsy.
Building intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills with the student whilst promoting enjoyment of learning.
A drive and passion to support the student on a 1-1 basis when needed within the classroom.
Working calmly, effectively and adapt to learning plans appropriately.
A good understanding of supporting learning and to provide development and growth with the student
Working alongside the teacher to integrate the student as a member of their learning environment.
To always be professional keeping to school policies and procedures
The ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within this.
Good communication and organisational skills, patient with a positive attitude.
Happy to assist with personal care if needed.
A relevant TA Level 2/3 and/or SEND qualification.
Level 2 (GCSE) Qualification in English and Maths
