SEND Teaching Assistant required to support a Year 2 student with ASD and working at a very low level in a Romford School.
The suitably qualified Teaching Assistant will support the student with their speech, language and communication needs using visual schedules and a workstation outside of the classroom.
SEND Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:
- To work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the learning & development of the student.
- Experience & knowledge of supporting students with ASD, speech, language and communication needs.
- Experience supporting students with phonics.
- Experience of working with a workstation outside of the classroom.
- Able to effectively manage the students behaviour, social interaction and understand behavioural triggers.
- To ensure the student can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills.
- Good communication and organisational skills, patient with a positive attitude.
- Teaching Assistant Level 2/3, SEND or care qualification.
