Job Description:

Looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with KS1 students that have a mixed range of Learning Difficulties; Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Non Verbal and Pre Verbal. For the role the students will need one to one support, someone with varied SEN experience would ideally be essential.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, fun, firm but fair and not easily phased.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Do you have experience of working with students that have various SEN needs and to an understanding of their learning pathways?
  • Are you able to effectively manage students behaviour, social interaction with an understanding of triggers and traits?
  • Are you able to actively promote and assist safe learning?
  • Could you ensure the students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills?
  • Are you happy to assist with personal care if needed?
  • Do you have knowledge and experience using PECS, Makaton and Bucket therapy?

Qualifications for the role:

  • Qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEND care qualifications.
  • Experience working in a classroom based setting working with SEN students.
